CMA, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & CHAIRMAN

DAVID THOMPSON

Mr. Thompson has 40 years of financial experience in the resource sector and is an experienced executive. He successfully founded an oil trading company in Bermuda with offices in the US and Europe (Geneva, Moscow and Amsterdam). He was responsible for the company’s production operations in Turkmenistan and successfully raised over $100 million in equity. Mr. Thompson also negotiated the farm-out of a number of company assets.

Mr. Thompson is Managing Director of AMS Limited; a Bermuda based management company. In the past he served as Chief Financial Officer of Aurado Energy, Chief Financial Officer of Forum Energy Corporation and Senior Vice President at Larmag Group of Companies. Mr. Thompson is the founder and President of a Bermuda charity to support housing projects for the needy around the globe and sits on the Board of several investment funds.

Carrie Lee

Carrie Lee has innovated through some of the greatest challenges of the global economy in the last 20 years. Named Most Influential Female Seed Investor of 2021 by Acquisition International, Ms. Lee practiced international infrastructure finance law at White & Case LLP before founding Pine Street Alternative Asset Management, an award-winning hedge fund seeding platform lauded for its inclusion investing on behalf of institutional investors and public pension funds. Pine Street launched numerous next-generation women and BIPOC fund managers and their funds through bold growth strategies and cutting-edge development tools.

Ms. Lee has led multiple humanitarian projects ranging from building schools and medical clinics in the Himalayas, to establishing an overseas post-graduate fellowship that incubates social impact businesses in underserved communities. Ms. Lee previously served as a senior advisor to leading think tank The Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, developing non-partisan strategies to address cross-border challenges facing the United States.

TECHNICAL ADVISOR

Robert Schafer

Mr. Schafer has nearly 40 years of experience in the mineral industry, working with both major and junior mining companies. He has held executive and senior management positions with Hunter Dickinson Inc., Kinross Gold Corp., and BHP Minerals over the past 20 years. Throughout his career Mr. Schafer has worked internationally, with notable experience in the far east of Russia, Southern Africa, South America and Australia.

Robert Schafer is a registered professional geologist who has explored for and discovering mineral deposits, four became producing mines including the Briggs (over one million ounces) and Griffon gold mines in the Western United States and Birkachan (over one million ounces) gold mine in far east Russia.

In addition, he is the Past-President of the PDAC and Past-President of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM) in Canada, and a Past President of the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America and the Geological Society of Nevada in the USA. Mr. Schafer was SME President in 2020-21.

Mr. Schafer was the recipient of the Dreyer Exploration Award in 2018 and the William Lawrence Saunders Gold Medal from AIME (2002) and the Daniel C. Jackling Award from SME (2017) for career achievements.

FINANCIAL ADVISOR

EDWARD M. KARR

Mr. Karr was President and CEO of US Gold Corp. from 2017 to November 2020. Mr. Karr is an international entrepreneur and founder of several investment management companies based in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Karr was a Director and former Chair of the Audit Committee of Levon Resources until its merger with Discovery Metals, Inc. Mr. Karr previously served on the boards of Pershing Gold Corp., PolarityTE, Inc. (formerly Majesco Entertainment Company) and Spherix Incorporated.

Mr. Karr has over 25 years of capital markets experience as an executive manager, financial analyst, money manager and investor. In 2004, Futures Magazine named Mr. Karr one of the world’s Top Traders. He is a frequent contributor to the financial press. Mr. Karr previously worked for Prudential Securities in the United States before he entered the financial services arena.
